Celebrating EOLONM Volunteers!

Janice Wilson, EOLONM POE LEADER

An exemplary volunteer for over 11 years, promoting and educating about end of life options in New Mexico

By Patsy Nelson

Jan Wilson is an exemplary volunteer who has dedicated her time during the past 11 years to promoting and educating about end of life options in New Mexico. Since the passage of the Elizabeth Whitefield End-of-Life Options Act in New Mexico in 2021, she has been deeply involved in developing the End of Life Options New Mexico organization and, in particular, the Public Education and Outreach Committee that she co-chaired for many of those years.

Jan has been a leader and manager and has served as a Volunteer Coordinator. In that role, she has mentored, delivered training for and maintained communication with volunteers statewide.

She has developed and provided presentations and Advance Healthcare Planning and Directives workshops for large and small groups and guided those who provide exhibits and tabling at community events.

We celebrate her passion to bring information about all legal end of life options in New Mexico, including Medical Aid in Dying, to fellow New Mexicans
