About Eligibility
To qualify for life-ending medication under the Elizabeth Whitefield End-of-Life Options Act, a New Mexico resident must be:
18+ Years of Age
Terminal Diagnosis
You must be diagnosed with a condition or illness that is incurable AND irreversible AND likely to cause death within 6 months.
Mentally Capable
You must be mentally capable of making an informed decision.
Physically Capable
You must be physically capable of self-administering the life-ending medication.

The Elizabeth Whitefield End-of-Life Options Act makes medical aid in dying available to terminally ill adults living in New Mexico.
